A former wholesale produce district transformed into Marseille’s street-art and independent-culture hub.

Cours Julien is a central Marseille district known today for street art, cafés, music and independent shops. From roughly 1860 to 1970 it was also the city’s great wholesale and retail fruit-and-vegetable market, animated by growers, traders and the Partisanes.
