North African or Maghrebi pastries are a family of sweets found across Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and their diasporas. Recipes vary, but semolina, dates, nuts, honey, syrup, sesame and orange blossom recur in forms such as makroud, zlabia and cornes de gazelle.
